My fish are not eating nearly as mush as they were a month ago. I turned my feeder off yesterday because they weren't eating everything that was being put out by the feeder. I am assuming it is due to the high water temperatures. My water is in the nineties. Is any0ne else having the same thing happen in their pond?

My bluegill have greatly cut down on feeding as well. However here in South Central Illinois, where my aireated water is 77 degrees top to bottom, I think there is a different reason. In shallow water there are multitudes of tiny fish. They appear to be a conbination of bass and bluegill. Bluegill fishing is poor and they are just not feeing. I believe it is because there is such an abundance of natural food available.

My experience has been when the water temp is >90 degrees, feeding slows..the Game Chow bag recommends cutting off feed at that temp as well..I will adjust my feed up and down depending on the water temps, weather, and amount of feed consumed..earlier during the summer the feeding slowed a lot however after several days of lower temps it picked back up..
