How about a Conference every 16 months or something like that. That way it would be easier for different people to attend that have schedule conflicts at certain times of the year.
The location could be determined with the prevailing weather. I bet that most northern folks would like to get away in the winter and vice versa with southerners during the Summer.
I would like to see the Conference somewhere were it would be possible to go on field trips relating to some type of pond management or construction.
For a location I would go with Memphis.
