My crazy dog goes on point every time I catch a fish and then waits patiently for me to toss it back in. Once the fish hits the water she try to catch it and even dunks her head completely under water trying to grab it. It's become quite the game.

Nice looking dog and bass. Funny what animals will do to amuse themselves.

Shorty,

Questions and observations:

1. What is that froggy looking lure you have tied on your bait caster?
2. Is that water movement in the background an aerator?
3. Are those weeds Milfoil?
4. Is that a retaining wall that you are standing upon? How much of the pond does it surround?
5. I hope you didn't trip on the untied shoe string by your left foot.
6. Those New Blanace shoes have a slippery shoestring. I have a couple pair of them for walking and I have to double tie them.
7. Cool dog. Cool Fish. Cool Pond.

1. What is that froggy looking lure you have tied on your bait caster? It's a grass frog I've nicknamed Kermit, I fish it on 50# braided line. \:D
2. Is that water movement in the background an aerator? Yes, it's a horizontal areator. (Aeromix Aquatornado)
3. Are those weeds Milfoil? Milfoil, coontail, with a topping of FA.
4. Is that a retaining wall that you are standing upon? How much of the pond does it surround? Yes, it's a retaining wall that covers a small portion of the pond, the retaining wall is roughly 120 feet long, the pond is 9.9 surface acres.
5. I hope you didn't trip on the untied shoe string by your left foot. I didn't. ;\)
6. Those New Blanace shoes have a slippery shoestring. I have a couple pair of them for walking and I have to double tie them. I should double tie them as mine are alwasy coming undone.
7. Cool dog. Cool Fish. Cool Pond. Thanks! ;\) I will have a major anouncement in a few days regarding the status of our pond. \:o

Here you go Dave since the cat is out of the bag. ;\) Dang, I am really going to miss the pond once the sale closes, I think my dogs are going to miss it more than I will. \:\( We made a pretty good run of it for 22 years and the last 4 have really been fantastic thanks to Pond Boss. \:\)

Dwight, you can see the retaining wall out in front to the house from the picture in the link.

Here is a link to the exact grass frog I was using.

I think I'll be hesitant to post a picture from now on. Dwight sees EVERYTHING! Dwight don't have an CIA training do ya?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Dwight that "froggy looking lure" doesn't guarantee a 10 lb. bass! \:\/

Me too! My folks and the new owner close the deal today and then my folks head off to Washington State tommarrow. Sometime today I will no longer be the fish manager and the there will be a new pond boss in NE. \:\(

Last night was my final night of fishing the pond, I fished for two hours last night. I caught approximatley 15 LMB and this one SMB. Adios mi amigos!

Don't feel sad LL, my folks are in the process of buying a house on some high bank waterfront property on Pugot Sound. It will be a much smaller acreage and easier for them to maintain, in addition the view is spectacular. On the bright side I will need to learn the basics on how to salmon fish.

I still plan on lurking here at PB, I am hoping to find a place of my own to build a small pond in the next year or two.

shorty, you are not moving out of state too?.....up in the northcoast there you should be able to raise some nice SMB, YP, PSEEDS, and RT.....that would make a KILLER pond.

That's a great new place, but I'm still getting a little teary eyed thinking about the labor of love you put forth to give those smallies a nice home.

Sunil, we removed 180 LMB in the 12-16" range out of the pond this year. This should leave the SMB lots of forage and leave a lot less competition with the remaining LMB. I'll send you a PM as to where you can send the new owner his notice of his BISA dues. \:D
