Only was able to stay for a day as the wife wanted to stop in Branson, Missouri. (What a tourist trap but there were trout jumping in Taneycomo near the Bass Pro Shops restaurant!)If I would have brought a rod and reel and had more time, I'm sure I could have caught trout until my arms got tired.

Just want to thank Eric West and Pond Boss for the opportunity to put together the diorama for SDSU. It was nice to see the old crew from last year.

Got back to Indiana about 8:30 P.M. central time today Sunday. Roads and driving weather were outstanding from Indiana to Arlington and back. However some massive thunderstorms came up during the watershow in Branson. We've got a movie of the watershow, light effects, and lightning and thunder with people running in all directions at one time. LOL

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I agree. It was another very good convention this year. Two days of great pond how to information. Lots of good fellowship was also present. The newbees said they had a great time.

Eric,

The ones that were at the convention already thanked me, and you and Dave complementing me on the work was all that was needed.

Dave's students just like him are a class act. If all the people in South Dakota are like these individuals that must be a great place to live.

The SDSU Fisheries program is the best applied fisheries program that I was able to find ( and believe me I looked closely ) and the people are even better !!! Just like the PB family. That's why we are doing things way out on the cutting edge in concert.

Someone please remind me (and our viewers at home) of the final location to be graced by Cecil's magnificent fish diorama.

It was a pleasure to meet and visit with all you guys. You guys are just as great in person (maybe even better). Wish we didn't have to leave early. Thanks to all for a great, informative and fun time. Hope all made it home ok.

In the SDSU Fisheries teaching lab (the location picked by Dave as the best for the students to see it and learn from its constant use). Bob scoped out the locations when he was up there.

Here's a couple of pics of the lab and the proposed location by Dr. Willis.

The location that the 56 inch case was custom made to fit: (Up against the window 39 inches from the floor)

A pic of the entire classroom:

Among many fine folks I got to meet were James Holt and his nice, polite family. (For those who don't know James, think Superman's Texan alter ego.)

Condello needs to tell about James' sweet little girls.

Boy, am I glad that thing is over. Nobody will be twisting my arm to drink beer.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

You know, I gained 4 pounds in those 3 days. How did that happen?

This is my first chance to check the forum since getting home late monday. I think I gained 10 lbs just by staying at Bob's place after the conference!

I can assure you that after eating at the texas land and beef company, then hitting the breakfast buffet, then gorging on the all you can eat barbecue, then hitting the breakfast buffet and then the big burrito lunch, then the all you can eat seafood buffet at the texas gaylord, then eating the entire time at the lusks place- literally gourmet food on the counter the entire time, then Bob would cook meals on top of that, after that kind of weekend, i gained 10-12 lbs easy!

To top it all off, somebody purchased every meal mentioned above for me. Then to top that off, I was offered a beer literally every 15 minutes the entire trip.
