Grits, and mush, and Grandma Gallus' corn cakes are all made with ole yellow field corn. And all good with butter and salt.

Butter & salt. Or Fry it up, butter it and add a healthy dose of "Karo" syrup. Sigh, now I know what I was craving all weekend, I just couldn't put my finger on it.

Sometimes a couple of eggs over easy on top break the monotony.
No suger for me. Butter, salt. Same with cornbread. No Jiffy, Marie Callenders or any other 'cakelike' cornbread.
This 'sweet corn on the cob' in the groceries is too overbearingly sweet for me.
