Not the greatest picture but the best I could come up with. This fish wanted to stay on the bottom and kept moving as I moved the jar to get a broadside shot. I have one that is deformed too but decided not to bother with it.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Thanks Cecil. You can see the start of the black bars and the fin spines - nothing wrong with that pic.
Adjusting the observation jar is a real trick. Sometimes I take 20 pics to get one good one.

How old is that YP Cecil? I have some fry in my pond but I am pretty sure they are shiners

How old is that YP Cecil? I have some fry in my pond but I am pretty sure they are shiners They were still eggs about the middle of April. Don't know when they hatched as I didn't start seeing them until 3 weeks ago. If I had to guess I'd say they hatching about the end of April.
