Pond is 1/4+ acre, 15' deepest part, poly liner w/ soil on top, cattails and rooted aquatic plants,LMB BG CF, temp 70, Ph 8.5, Alk 170, hardness 100,aerator pump runs 24/7, but I do not know the d o level, visibility 6'-8' . The only water soluble fert I could get is 30-10-10. How should I use? Two year old pond, 1ST time fertilizing.

What were your visibilities last summer ? Did you have a bloom ?
Is it diffused air aeration ? If so that will reduce the effect of fertilization if you have high water turnover rate as it will circulate part of the plankton out of the top 3 feet of the water.

Here is the archive on fertilization.

Visibility was same last summer 6'-8', no bloom. Air is diffused and I an sure there is a high turn over rate. Can I try to regulate the bloom by how much I run the air pump? Maybe turn it off for now and if the bloom becomes to heavy, run it for a certain amount of time each day?

While that is a good concept in theory it would be very difficult to do with all the possible factors to regulate.

I would tend to keep the aeration the same and just see how things go with the bloom. I would rather have a limited bloom than DO problems.

If you fertilize then read the link above and start slowly.
