Have been reading and thinking...dangerous at times... Found a deal on Bone meal (.5-15-0 on bag) and am thinking of adding some with Cottonseed? Seems phosphate is important and 25-30 lbs (Bone) with 60-80lbs (cottonseed) may be a good combination every 10-12 days? I like the cottonseed results I've had. Have NOT checked the solubility of bone meal yet. ANY comments appreciated.
FWIW the Home Depot stores in San Antonio area are closing out Gypsum (pellet) for $3.00 a 40# bag. Not much left in this area but may be a state or nationwide deal. Bone meal reg. $8.97 a bag is $4 and change.

Al take a look at this link under organic fert. I will check some more but I don't recall seeing bone meal. Fertilization of Fish Fry Ponds http://srac.tamu.edu/fulllist.cfm0-46-0 is a good source of P.
