This will be a tutorial on making fishing lures. Go ahead and ask questions and tell me what you want. My specialty is molds for soft plastics pouring you can make yourself for about $1 each though I can also show you how to make silicone rubber slip molds to make hard bodied baits but they cost a lot more to make. I sold these molds on ebay for awhile and even had a design manufactured by a lure company for a time. Now I just like to share the knowledge and let others do it themselves. Your forum has already given me great know-how on some things so this is my way of giving back. It will take me a bit to locate all my pics but I will surely get around to it depending on interest... Hopefully the following pic is of a crawdad mold made from a real crawdad. It was the Bill Norman Cajun Craw for awhile back in the 80's. They couldn't meet the demand with hand pour operation so I got it back. Killer on big bass in spring... [img] [/img] Tell ya what...before I go and take up a lot of forum space with pics and such for the few that might be interested in making their own molds, it would be much easier for those persons to join the TackleUnderground Forum and see mine and a lot of other great tutorials already there. Thanks GW Craws, frogs, lizards...whatever fish eat can be easily molded. A fella in Florida is selling frogs made from my mold for $5 each!

Oh I'm not worried about reply numbers. If it is better to just supply links to existing information elsewhere it will save on space here as I could post tons of pics for many projects

You all are very welcome! Let me know if you need any help with the fine details. It's been since January 2007 that I was active at TackleUnderground. Have been trying to reset my email address as I can't even remember the password for my old email there. Waiting for admin to fix me

Thanks Charlie, Just joined tackle underground and the lures look like a fun project to get my boys involved in.

Man, I'm so glad to have seen this post. I've been just talking about trying to make my own baits to bass fish with.I'd like to make something that's as natural as I can.
What do you do about different colors of your soft baits? It would be cool to see a step by step post.:)
