I am going to be getting some tilapia and CNBG and was thinking of getting a few (4-6) HSB to throw in to the pond just for the added bonus of maybe catching one. My pond is 2 1/2 acres with BG,LMB,CC*,BC* (*I think because 50/each 6" 2 years ago) and a few RES. I dont atifically feed and have good water quality. I was wondering if adding a couple of bigger HSB would be ok.

Thanks

Fatty

Fatty, how large are your LMB?
4-6 inch HSB will just be an expensive snack for adult LMB...

I love the idea of a few advanced HSB, but George is right on that you'll want to get them as big as possible. Maybe even 9 inches would be better.

Fatty, I put 50 nominally 8"-10" HSB in with 3 lbs LMB and 6-7 lbs CC a year and a half ago. To date, I am not sure I had as many as 50% survive.

With 8 lbs LMB present, I would want to go even bigger on the HSB.

Fatty- How big is BIG? Try Todd when you get the tilapia and CNBG. I don't know if he has any now, but I'm pretty sure he's had some fairly large HSB in the past.

Hey FMB, save your cash, odds are if you can afford to buy TWO 4 pounders, you most likely won't ever catch them \:\)

p.s. are you making the 2008 conference?

My fish guy was getting me HSB like this and a little bit bigger. That's what you need, Fattay, with 8lb. LMB in your tank.

I only wore that fancy-shmancy shirt because I knew it was the only way I'd get attention if you were in the room.

I'm warning you two, I've got a crawling bug and I'm not afraid to use it.

Theo, I'm sending you the bill for a new laptop screen.

At least I kilt it dead, though.
