I would like to put some craws into my pond that is about 3 acres big. It is about 20-25ft deep. I live in nebraska, I am assuming that craws could live here.
I dont know what would be the best craw to put in to the pond. The pond has a very thick layer of vegiation that comes off the bottom about 6"-18" there are a few taller places that the vegitaiton grows but not much. There are a few submerged trees and braches.
Also what would be good cover for craws?
Would bluegill eat craws?
How fast do they reproduce and how many sould I stock? Sould I start with a few hundred and see if they work out or just go big at first?
Thanks if you could answer all of my questions that would be great. I need some forage bait in my pond all that is in there now is bluegill.
