I recently moved to a new house with about a 5-6 acre community pond. There are largemouth, bluegill, catfish, crappie, and spotted bass. So far this year, all fish I have caught have been between 10 and 16 inches, or a little under 2 pounds max. In previous years fishing this lake before I moved there, there was a big cohort of large bass (4 pounds and over) but now, in the 3-4 years I have not fished it, there seems to be many more smaller ones, and a ton of spotted bass. Should I do anything about the spots, or just proceed with removing fish as per standards?
