Last year, we stayed at the Wyndham. Is it different this year?

Thursday seems to bethe first day of the event. Meet in the bar of the Sheraton from about 3:00 on and on and on and..... Roger that.

Last year, we stayed at the Wyndham. Is it different this year? Don't know about last year. This year the Wyndham isn't listed as one of the hotels. Seems like most folks are gonna stay at the Sheraton. Or are ya just pulling my leg.

The Wyndham was muy convenient for walking across the street to the convention center with a beer in hand.

I don't know why, but I have in my mind that the Sheraton is on the other side of the convention center from the Wyndham.
It could be an all-revealing psychic flash of comprehension. Or just gas.

OK, you guys spurred me into action. I registered for the conference (with Kathy), and I just got my room reservation at the Sheraton.
Right now, some TX summer weather sounds great! Cold up here!

Right now, some TX summer weather sounds great! Cold up here! Be careful what you wish for Dave, it could get up above 100. But that is what air conditioning is for. This past summer wasn't that bad because of all the rain. I don't think that it got above until late July or August.

I would take a couple days before anyone noticed that we were missing. Supersonic helicopter not required, just the normal one you use for pond management duties.

Also notice that I grew a full beard in about 3 hours. Really though, I'm not passed out. I'm just resting after bench pressing 810 lbs. Fatty is passed out though.
The hotel must have changed names. If so, then stay at the Sheraton.

I'll be there, along with Cody Smith. He stocks his tanks, and I am the friend who has to continually teach him how to catch his fish! Therefore, I will make him pay my way again this year  Looking forward to it! Sounds like a blast....I think I'll swing by the convention center a little early and be sure they have enough Miller Lite on-hand  Have a good one! Gary Robertson

If it is always in Arlington I will try my hardest to make it in 2009 possibly. I am just east of there in North Louisiana so I could drive I-20 all the way. I also have relatives north of Dallas that I could stay with possibly or I could just get a room. Maybe I can talk the wife into going. This will have given me a year and a half (from now) to get her excited about THE POND!!

Ken, What can be more important than a Pond Boss Convention?  My wonderful bride made hotel reservations today. It is still a stretch due to my job -- and the thought of central Texas in mid-July during a global warming crisis -- but, we sure would hate to miss it. We still haven't made airline reservations or committed to PB -- but . . . If we make it, we'll be glad to assist with booth duty, helping present a workshop, frying a fish, whatever . . . Ken

I hope to see you there, Ken. Texas in mid-July is a treat in itself, but hopefully the convention center will have enough ACs to blow the wigs off the blue-hairs. It's not so bad then.
