Tricia's ski cap and scarf must smell like the cedar chest. How often do they get called on for command performances in LA.?

Thanks for the pictures, ericdc.
Sometimes we lose sight of how cool that snow really is.
You getting snow would be akin to a mountain range popping up for a few hours in Eastern Nebraska.
Holding a redear sunfish is like running with scissors.

If you look at the photo album you will see GLOVES (at least for Eric) have not made it to Louisiana yet. I haven't bare-knuckled snowballs since grade school. Of course, Eric may not have made snow balls in grade school.

Yep, she qualifies for one of the last remaining free passes to my March ice-walking event.

I can't get her to go out to the pond with me if it's below 65 degrees, but today I could not get her out of the snow for anything. It was fun to watch. I've been to Colorado before and have been fortunate enough to seen it snow in Louisiana 2 other significant times. Once about 4 years ago and the other time was back in 88 or 89.

Eric -- we just can't tell you how much it soothes us northerners to see the snow in Louisiana. Thanks for posting!

I assume that your snow is gone now, Eric. If you miss it, we have 15" here (with more on the way) that you can have.

Theo, the snow melted within an hour of falling. We timed it just right and caught it at its peak when we took the pictures. An hour later it was all gone. Tricia was sad.

Tell her 15" of snow (and a 20 mph wind) is even colder than the amount you guys had. I will not be sad when this batch of snow melts.

Eric, your picture of the dock is fitting to be on a postcard, lovely picture. I'm from Louisiana and can relate to what you are saying--it is rare to see snow in Louisiana (I do remember the 80s). Most times my relative come up here to see snow as one niece and her daughter came up last month and the first thing the kid did was get out the car, walk out to the snow and eat some! We had a good ole' time sliding down the slope of the pond down the hill of the dam. The 4 year old had a great time in the snow (we found her some proper winter clothing to be outside). I just wish they'd been here this week, as we had a good snowfall in Indiana.
