Do baby BG need a place to hide from preditors? And what kind of structure or trees should i lay in the pond.Spawn time is comeing up soon here in the south.And i want to give the little guys atleast a fair chance.Thanx for the help.

Xmas trees approximately 10 ft from spawning beds. Stacked brush piles or weed beds near spawning areas. Yes they will help yoy survival. See below.

Thanx for that info.Trying to keep the BG population up and a place for the small one to hide.So far all my adult LMB are in great shape and they are high on the standart growth chart.

But i think later on down the line i will run into trouble with the BG.My goal is to put atleast another 450 BG.All in the 3 to 8 inch range.Before spawn time.I think i am goin to devote one small bank at my pond to just small fish to hide.Thanx for all the help on other post every1

Could also put some cribs in for the YOY bluegill and any baitfish you have in the pond...

I have some milk crate and was thinking about tieing them together.It has holes for you hand but they are skinny.I was going to toss them out but didnt know where.Along the sides or in the shallow part near the rock dam or filter.They are kinda like minnie cribs.they are 4'x2'.I have alot of photos to put under my update my pond i think i will get on that since the wind is crazy this weekend.Thanx for your help.
