If so does the doctor in the story remind anyone of Bruce Condello? (For those of us that have met Bruce in person) \:D

Just started watching the series an episode at a time with the wife via Netflicks.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

My wife and I are addicted to the show. We don't watch much tv, but we never miss that show.

My wife is addicted as well. She has that thing on TIVO season pass. I appease her by watching it with her sometimes. It's a bizarre show, that's for sure.

I have refused to watch the show after watching a few episodes of season one, however, my wife is also hooked.

I tend to prefer shows where (at least every once in a while) they let you know whats going on.

In the case of Lost, they just keep making up more and more crap, and even at a season's end, you still don't know what is going on.

It reminds of the HBO show Carnivale; I watched the first season hoping at each episode that I would get a clue on what the heck was really going on. It didn't happen and I had to cut the show off.

This guy?

It's a shame, he raises all those younger siblings after their parents die, he tries to take one overseas vacation, and BANG he's stranded on the 21st Century answer to Gilligan's Island.

Hey that's what happens when you call yourself Aquaman just to win a free fishing trip! \:D

Sunil,

I'm with you to some extent. I watched Gilligan's Island as a kid and the fact that they never got rescued season after season drove me bonkers! And on top of that there was Lost in Space where they never got home either!

My heart shall always belong to Maryanne, when she had amnesia and thought she was Ginger.

If we had to re-cast the show for Pond Boss Island, and we only had the moderators for the male side of the cast, who would play whom? Then....who could we get to play Ginger, Maryann, and Lovey?

Davidson for the Skipper; Sunil for his Little Buddy. I will selflessly volunteer to play the Professor (I have always wanted to make everybody around me eat a bar of soap).

That leaves Condello as the surfer who washed up on the island and wouldn't leave, ewest as that pilot character Hans Conreid played, and Wild Bill Cody as the Cannibal Chief who occasionally visited from the next island.

Brettski, have you ever worn a gold, sequined evening gown?

...only if Rockytopper has worn tight blue jean shorts and a blouse that was tied across at the midriff.

I kinda saw Cody as the professor. Sunil, for whatever reason, does seem to default into the Little Buddy roll. DD1 as the skipper works too. Theo...you're gonna have to be Thurston Howell III. (or Lovey)

I'll take Thurston. How could I forget about him?

I think you would make a good Thurston, Theo. We'll let Cody play with the transistor radio to create all the creature comforts that you guys are gonna need on PB Island.

Which one was your favorite? Or did you want them both? \:D Since I was just reaching puberty... well I won't go there.

Yeah Cody would be the professor for sure! How about Fatty McButterpants for Gilligan? \:D

I'll take a supporting role as one of the native islanders. There were some natives as I recall.

Cannibal/headhunter types, IIRC. OTOH I think I'm getting them confused with the natives (under Chief Urulu) on McHale's Navy.
