The second pic is the one I've been waiting to see. I have been looking for a quick/easy down-n-dirty way to get a coffered look on our 8' drywall ceilings in our home. I like it.

Boy would I love to build something like that. In the county in which DIED and I live you cannot build within 100 feet of any ponds and streams. I wanted my place right next to my pond but found out that I have to move back 100 feet from the high water mark. So I'm going to move the house site 100 feet up the hill and have a huge slide. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

So I'm going to move the house site 100 feet up the hill and have a huge slide. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. A slide for you, or is the house "accidentally" gonna slide down to the pond (I understand houses slide downhill in California)?

With all due respect I don't care for it. Anyone else feel that way? To me it doesn't fit there.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I'm a log cabin a little ways above the shoreline, with smoke coming out of the chimney, kind of guy.
But it is a very attractive abode, if it is the style one wants. Just too modern for my taste.
