Has anyone used bread balls to catch HSB? The kids and I were fishing this afternoon and caught 4 HSB on bread balls. They look alot like a slow sinking fish pellet. I finally told the kids we had to move. Because they kept hitting them as soon as the kids would put the hook back in. The HSB have only been in the pond about 1 mon. they looked to be in very good shape, good color and fat bellies.

John, I haven't used bread balls, but it doesn't surprise me that the HSB will hit them. HSB are also notorious for biting on liver. Some of the biggest HSB are caught by catfishermen. Agressive little son's o' guns, aren't they.
Holding a redear sunfish is like running with scissors.

hello john.I have been haveing great results on bread balls.Thats how i have been catching all the bluegill out of my uncles pond. His pond is over ran with BG and has since wanted me to add 22 LMB adult size.He has had this pond for 16 years with just BG.You can throw bread in 12 different spots and its like warfare at every piece of bread. Its a fun way to let the kids catch BG and they dont get messy.Later on
