I can't even imagine that.

Bring on the cold! I love it!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

15 this morning, last week we've seen some minus 2's. This shouthern girl has had enough! Also, looking at putting geothermo in this year...anytime now. Cannot wait until it warms up so I can enjoy the pond again and watch the fish eat and feed. Not brave enought to do the ice-fishing thing. Oh well.

Man, is it ugly out there right now. It's 8 pm. It was 40 something degrees this morning. Now it's 8 and dropping. The wind gusts, predicted in the 40 - 50 range, are kickin' our arse. The house and windows on the western exposure are snappin, cracklin, and poppin.

I'm looking forward to things freezing up again. It's been a disgusting, slippery, muddy mess here the last two days.

Brett, we got that same wind yesterday. Forty mph gusting to 55 mph. Temp dropped from mid 60's to below freezing. More wind today but not as extreme.

-21 is beyond my comprehension. The coldest I remember around here is 6 below and it shut the area down.

It's a little known nautical fact that Davy Jones' mom invented the locker. She gave the orginal model to her son as a present.

Tom, for many years I have avoided asking just why people live in those places. Then, about August, I figure it out.

There is a study out there that says people that live in the upper Midwest and similar climes live longer because they are toughened by the extreme temperature variance. For instance, in 2007 our temperatures ranged from -24 to +106. 130 degree swing!
