“A Master in the art of living draws no distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves it for others to decide whether he is working or playing.”
James A. Michener

Michener wrote some great stuff didn't he?
Very thought provoking post George.

Good one George. Now I'll have to decide whether I'm a master in the art of living, or just a pretender.

I like that, george. I can picture Michener "living" like that all over the globe, recreating and researching all in one. I've read as much Michener as I've been able to pick up second hand (which is a lot), except for (thus far - still working on it) the second half of Iberia, but I don't recognize that quote. What's it from? Tales of the South Pacific?

Theo that quote was attributed to him and was not (from what I can tell) included in one of his works/books.
