When my pond was constructed, I had some cleared brush placed in a ditch and had soil pushed over it. A couple holes (6-12 inches wide by several feet deep) have opened up and is making mowing difficult.
What is the best way to fill holes? I was thinking about using bentonite pellets. Anyone tried this? Is it best to wet the pellets before putting in the hole? Any other ideas?
Thanks, John

I think I would use plain sandy loam. If it's in an area where you are mowing, I assume that you would want grass there. No way grass should grow on bentonite.
Don't even think of wetting bentonite and then trying to do anything with it. It gets slicker than snot.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
