I have a .33 acre pond in southeastern PA. Lots of bullforgs and just stocked with triploid carp. The bottom is incredibly mucky and smells like a sewer when stirred up. I understand aeration will help this. What systems are the best and easiest in terms of maintenance? Is the Pondmaster L-40 Compressor and Flex Disc Aeration Kit any good?

"Depends" the L-40 is maxed at 5 ft depth and only has an open flow of 1.68 cfm, If were talking about the same pump the L stands for linear.Linear pumps have a place but are not best value in deeper water and higher back pressures. Look in the Resource Guide for suppliers that can size you a system.
