I had to have my female Great Dane put to sleep yesterday, she had a stroke and couldn't stand, and was in a lot of pain, poor old girl she was almost 10 yrs. old, which is pretty old for a dane. She was my baby and I will miss her a lot. I know she is out of pain and romping with Arthur, my other dane I lost 3 yrs. ago.

Thanks for listening,

I'll go cry now.

Condolences. We had to do that a couple of years ago.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

NWW, I'm sorry for your loss, and I know how it feels.
Remember the times she made you laugh, cry, love her, and get mad at her. Pretty soon, your crying will turn to laughing when you remember the funny things she used to do.

Sorry for your loss, NWW.

If I can offer a suggestion... don't get another dog for a few weeks or months. Let the memory of your old friend linger in your thoughts for a while until all the sadness is gone.

"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Thanks guys, it will take awhile to get over it, but I know time will help and the kind words and thoughts help too.

Thanks again.
