I fished the pond last night and caught 7 CNBG. After being in the pond for 7 months they are 5"s or a bit over. This was the biggest of the 7.

brand new, never before used 1/4 acre pond.

That's a fine looking fish and excellent growth. Looks like a female.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Thanks. I caught 4 males and 3 females. The males where just a tad smaller.

Great looking fish Okie. It's nice to see a photo of a fish where someone (and I won't mention any names like Bruce or DIED) isn't threatening them with a cutting board or knife. \:D

That's a really nice looking fish. Super healthy.

If I had him I'd be threatening him to grow faster.....or else.

Well, being a brand new pond owner and fish raiser it makes me fill great to hear yall's comments about my fish. Not that I've really done that much besides adding a fish feeder. I'm just thankfull that the pond is doing as well as it is.

Good job Okie ! That is one nice fish. You have been doing something. A good manager is one who searches for the right answers and carries out his plan. Looks like you are doing a good job .

Definitely a pretty fish okiefish.

If you're releasing those fish you might want to look into some threads about handling fish. If I understand correctly, letting the fish contact the ground can cause them to get infections later, and there are other considerations too.

GW, I will look into the fish handling threads. I know that wasn't the best way of doing things. I grabed everything I thought I needed. I think I'm going to make a kit to take to the pond with me next time.
