While setting and observiing Zephyr Pond, I find myself thinking "man I can't wait to get back home and tell the guys on the forum what I saw or did today". Since joining the forum, I find that when I am observing or working on Zephyr Pond that I do so with a grounded reference to what or how my Pond Boss friends would think or do this or that. I need help! Is there a designated Pond Boss Psychiatric Care Unit anywhere?

Isn't that amazing? Not only that, but I find myself worrying about drought in Texas, someone's weeds, someone's leaky pond, and someone else's skinny fish. I have plenty enough worries of my own, and you would think I wouldn't worry about someone I have never met. I guess ponders are nurturing people, and it comes naturally. I don't think there's a pill or treatment for that. \:\)

I was once told by a certifiable authority (right here at this very forum!) that there is no mental illness in Texas, at least within the pond commmunity there. So you must be deluded about suffering from any problems. Certainly the so-called "symptoms" you describe seem perfectly normal and reasonable to me.

I was told by a fish farmer that fish farmers are a disfunctional lot. Maybe pond meisters are the same? ;\)

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-haaa!
Original Song by Napolean the XIV 1966

Remember when on the that bluebird day
I got on my knees
Because I had weeds
And then I went berserk?
Well. . .

They just kept growing
And got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy pond farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I said
That my pond was broke
Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And my pond you bashed!
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA

To the happy pond farm
To the happy pond home
With algae blooms and jumping fish clones
And fishermen who sit and smile
And twiddle their poles awhile Ha-haaa!

I raised my fish
And that's a fact
And this is how you pay me back
For all picnics on our tract?!
Hah. . .

Well you just wait
They'll find you yet
And when they do they'll
Put you in a cage, you water turkey!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny pond farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

To the happy pond farm
To the happy pond home
With algae blooms and jumping fish clones
And fishermen who sit and smile
And twiddle their poles awhile Ha-haaa!

To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

"Isn't that amazing? Not only that, but I find myself worrying about drought in Texas,"

bobad, Over this hot summer and reading this message board, I've found myself pondering (pardon the pun)the same thing. My pond is stream and spring fed with a 166 acre watershed. The flow in is presently diminished due to our lack of rain in upstate SC. This morning I was setting in my truck beside the catch basin above my main pond, feeding the few BG that live there, and listening to the water falling out of the pipe that feeds the main pond. I thought to myself, "Boy, I'll bet those poor pond owners out West would love to be hearing this little stream replenishing their water levels."

My recent "close call" is evidence that i too suffer from PBD.......Pond Boss Dementia.

Even while I was frantically preparing to evacuate, realizing I could lose everything I own, rushing to document the event before my property became engulfed, as I watched the ranch pond provide life saving slimy fire dousing water to a thirsty wildfire, I coudnt wait to share the excitement and magnitude of the moment with the PB bretheren........

My name is Dave....I need help too.

Here is my prescription given to me by Dr. Long-Haired Hybridization himself , to help with the PB blues aka pond funny farm. Read the PB funnies once a week

http://www.pondboss.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=20;t=002291;p=1#000000

and the Pirates every other week.

http://www.pondboss.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000155;p=1#000000

It works for me !!! See you at the farm.

LBuck,

Are you old enough to remember when they played the original version on the radio? They had to take it off because it disturbed people. Some people would climb the walls when they heard it. If you haven't you should download it off the Internet and you will see what I mean.
