I,m thinking of covering my existing 14 year old dock with plywood and then outdoor carpet over the plywood. Do any of you have any experience with this or recommendations?

i would think rotting would be an issue, unless you used marine plywood. even then, i think i would cover the top with tarpaper or a barrier of somesort, they lay the outdoor turf/carpet over that. mark

In the full Suns UV rays will cause the carpet to not last long. There are deck washes & water sealers now that can help the old deck look better & last longer.
