This forum is probably one of fewer than a handful of places where he could ever be able to kick back and just be one of the guys. I'd bet that he frequently regrets not having that luxury.

I'm glad to hear that someone is watching "animals." For all we know, he/she is trying to raise a bass in a toaster oven ......Poor little bass.

Lord only knows what "animals" is doing to chickens!

To those who have served,YOU have my utmost respect and sincere THANKS for your sacrifice for all our benefit. That said, please lighten up a bit. You've got to be able to laugh about politics either your party or mine.
Brad B. from Valparaiso, NE have you heard tell of the Nebraska Lake Owners Assoc. ? I would like their contact info if possible. I'm hoping they will have the name of a Nebraska lab that has farm pond experence in water analisis. I'm pretty sure I can measure alklinity and ph on my own. My questions would have to do with depth, time of year and day, and interpetation of my data. Any help would be apprecated. Thanks!!

Greenhorn,
Go to www.lakesofnebraska.com There you will find a link to the Nebraska Lakes Association. There is a fella that lives west of Valparaiso who has a company called: Nebraska Lake Management Co. His name is Rob Hofpar and his phone number is 402-784-6005. He raises fish for stocking, and also raises prawn commercially. He is well educated and very involved in statewide aquaculture. Condello might be able to help you as well. In between fishing, raising fish, raising earth worms, building ponds, a little dentist work and keeping his wife happy!

Everybody can have a good laugh at us! I'm sure Nebraska is not thought of as a state that would have " Lake Associations".

Ha! I think we should rename the Nebraska Lake Association to "Nebraska Puddle Assn."! \:D

Another option is Aaron Klusmire of Natural Habitats Unlimited. He has a keen mind for water analysis. I'd actually do the testing for free myself if I got to "test" the pond sometime to see if the fish are susceptible to angling pressure.

Bruce,
All 3 Ne lake owners are on simultaneously, WOW. The offer to check fishing pressure is valid. Check your e-mail, you have a long overdue reply. Thanks, Greenhorn
