Hello,
Can anyone tell me which form of bentonite (pelletized or granular) would be best suited for application through the water column in controlling seepage?
Thanks, Patrick

The granular does a real lousy job of sinking. It is mostly used for disking or rototilling into the soil. Go with pelletized. It also may not work. Note that no bentonite supplier gives guarantees. If you know exactly where the leak is it may be usable. Cecil Baird used it and made it work. Look up his posts and/or contact him.

Where can you get the pelletized in the midwest?
I saw some in Texas, but if you need a lot it would be better for me to find some in the midwest.

Find one of Cecil Bairds posts and ask him. He used it and it worked.

Leaky, I'm from Terre Haute, IND and sealed my leak with the bentonite by just cutting the bags and pouring in at the dam water level. That has been several months and no more leak. Bought the bentonite at a Well Drilling supplier that sells pumps and accessories here locally. Call a well driller in your area and they will tell you where to buy it or they might just sell it to you, they use it to seal wells they drill. Hope this helps. Cost was $11.00 50lb bag. PO
