is anyone familiar with a bait fish called "slicks"? a man i know wants to use a small unstocked pond that i have to raise slicks for catfish trotline fishing. i've never even heard of slicks and was wondering if they are also known by another name. thanks for any info you might have.

I have heard of "ricefield slicks" and if this is the same fish they are green sunfish (Lepomis cyanellus). Not something you would want in one of your good ponds.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
