Bob, I sent you a very lengthy email a long time ago (I apologize) - I have never heard anything back and was just wondering ..... The main jest of the email was this, Is there any books that cover the proper dam construction practices, size of overflow, tube vs. spillway, ect. My site supposedly drains 160 acres, and the NRCS guy said it was too big for him to design.
Thanks
Troy

Dan, thanks for the reply. I have an old D6 just begging me to try this on my own. Nothing really stopping me, except for my own reservations. I'm a little confused about how to start. The local contractors say that I will have to 'core' the dam and find a good clay bed on my property to put into the core. It all sounds a little complicated.
