At what size will bass spawn? I have new 1 acre pond that just filled this spring, have stocked it with bluegill that are still spawning and fathead minnows. Also, put 20 4-6" F-1 bass in figuring they would not spawn till next spring. Have recently noticed lots of fingerling bass but so far no bluegill fry. On May 17, the pond above came around the spillway and am wondering if those bass could have already spawned and some of those fry made it into my pond. The spillway is fixed so that none of the larger fish could have washed in....
