Hello all,

I've recently begun reading more about ponds online as late last year we moved into a new home with around a 1/2 acre pond. Since November2022 or so, I'd estimate the pond is down probably 5' (we've had severe rain shortage - supposedly 5th driest year in the last 129 per statistics).

Looking at a few images I found of the pond from around 2010, you can see it was filled to the brim, and there was no additional tree growth. I've read that trees can be hazardous and cause leaks - curious if that may be the case here. I believe the deepest point is 14' 16' for reference.

Any advice / thoughts would be appreciated - curious if this could simply be from lack of rainfall or something more severe.

Welcome to Pond Boss.

What state are you from?

Nice looking place. I like the little backhoe.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
