Looking to have a dock out on my 32 acre lake in southern Oklahoma. I would prefer a stable floating dock that can rise and fall with the water, as the water level can go up as much as 10-12 feet with the heavy rains we had this past fall (6+ inches in a day type rain).
Looking mainly at the pond king steel construction docks out of Gainseville, but just searching for other ideas or builders if anyone has used someone else. I have looked at EZ-Docks of Texas and not terribly interested in their products at this time.
Any help would be appreciated!

I've always thought Pond King looked like they have good products and a great website where you can add options and get a turn-key price on docks including delivery. I have never visited their store because they are closed on Saturday/Sunday when all of us are off work.

I believe I’ve been there on Saturday. Give them a call.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

yes maybe they would see you on a Saturday if you call and make an appointment and they know you are not a "tire-kicker"

But their website shows Mon-Fri 9AM-6PM

In one aspect you guys in the south are so lucky, but you don't get to ice fish or snowmobile. They are both a lot of enjoyment with the grand kids. As of Sunday we still have 2 ft. of ice. We can not leave our dock in over the winter without damage. A couple years ago I found a pretty good pontoon that works great. The guy sold it and a new trailer for 3K. I just tie it to a couple trees on the shoreline with cable. In the fall I put a trolling motor on it and drive it back on trailer, park it in our machine shed, and we are done until spring. Just an option that is not as costly. I just added a ladder and the grad kids love it.

Trade no ice fishing or snowmobling for an early spawn and longer growing season.

Pivoting Dock Design

Could look at a pivoting design similar to the link to allow for the various height you could experience.

The pond king dock I have my eyes on will essentially be a pivoting dock from the point of attachment on the land side, and be able to float up and down accordingly, to include the walkway. We typically see a couple feet of water movement, but usually not 10-12 feet, but we did see that this fall. It took about a week for the drain pipe to release all the extra water but it does go down pretty quick. The lake probably swelled to over 40-45 acres when it was at its highest this fall. Crazy amount of water we got (and are still getting).

I was just trying to be positive about the weather we have to deal with. It does get really old by this time of year. Our fish do deal with it amazingly well.
