Hello again, I found a plastic pallet on the side of the road. It has 9 holes in the top that look just like plant pots. I want to fill the bottom up with foam and plant some plants in it and use it like a floating island. I am looking for some suggestions on what type of plant? I would like something to help filter the water and provide some color. Thanks for the help. John

Well here is the finished product. The first time I tried to fill the pallet with expandible foam, but it must have not cured right inside the pallet because it sunk like a rock. So I ended up using foam insulation screwed to the bottom. And that worked like a charm. Eric, I took your advise and planted some wild irises. The butterflies really like them, and they were free. http://s203.photobucket.com/albums/aa100/rgraf/?action=view¤t=JohnsPics004.jpg

Congrats!!! It usually takes a few months to look very natural, but when it gets to that point you will have people wondering how and why your island moved!! Great thing to see their faces trying to figure things out.
