Hi, We had a "100 year flood" this past August while I was digging my pond so I marked the water height and made my protection levee one foot taller. Well we just had another "100 year flood" nine months later that overflowed into my pond. The water came in over a low spot on the levee which was about 8 inches deep and left out of two spots each about 1 inch deep. It has been two weeks and my fish are not eating like they were. I have just one or two coming to feed. I stocked this pond per the recommendations of this board. Should I stick with the plan?

I think you have to allow time for things to settle so you can best understand the effects of the flooding.
There may be no ill effects.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I've seen this as well in my pond. My overflow which is basically a trench I dug out around the one edge of my dam was rushing harder this year then I ever seen it. My pond rose a foot easy and my fish were off feed for a while.... another factor could also be a lot of your BG could be on beds my feeding goes down a lot at this time as well.
I'd say give it 2 weeks and see how things are going....
The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

It has been about a month now since my flood. I fished yesterday and caught three 3"BG, one 4"BG, two 6"BG, three GSF, and eight BH. I have been feeding about four ounces of bluegill junior, and the BG's are eating about half of that everyday. I was disappointed to catch the BH and GSF. Will I still be good when I stock bass in the fall? I'm so mad I almost want to start over.

I think you'll be OK. Keep the BH and keep fishing for them. The GSF are up to you. They will only spawn annually and the BG should spawn all Spring, Summer and Fall. I seine my forage pond annually. I don't hesitate to add them with the BG to the main pond. Over time, the BG out spawn them. Being more fusiform, bass seem to target them more than BG.

I gotcha, and thanks for expanding my vocabulary. I had to look up fusiform.
