Hello Everyone,

Today my daughter and I were raking leaves out of our pond while they still are solid and I raked two fish out of the pond that I didn't even know were there!!!

That's right caught two fish with a landscape rake!

We just had our pond dredged in September of 2016 and I was convinced there were no fish in there.

This is amazing to me because:

1) I didn't think there was anything but crayfish and leaches in there to begin with
B) I have never seen a fish like this in Michigan.
III) They were fat, almost like they were preggers but are small fish.

Anyone know what these are?

Possibly dogfish?

Thanks,

HootenWeb

PS sorry if this should go in help but it is technically a catch and I as long as they aren't invasive species in Michigan I am showing off my rakefishing skills laugh

Central Mudminnow? They can survive in near anoxic conditions, and no flow.

Thanks John, I think you are correct and their environment requirements describes my pond to a "T". Didn't even know these things existed.
