I was shrimping off a friends dock the other night and was getting CC and CNBG. I know there is salt in that part of the river. Just wondering what the salinity tolerance of these two fish are. I recall a discussion about it before but can't remember exactly. I thinks it's around 8 ppt? Wondering if some of you smart folks might know exactly .

Close Bobby. Average fish blood salinity is 9 grams per liter, or .9%...water matching the salinity, and chemical makeup of the blood salinity is least stressful to fish. While hauling fish for extended trips, as a hauler, I will make the water .8% saline as being slightly lower than fish blood is safer than a higher saline content. Here is an informative link on salinity. Blood salinity
