Here is my pond. Recently purchased the property as a foreclose so don't have any information on it. Water level is down a good 4-5 feet. It has I believe what is an overflow and next to it a pipe coming into the one which I believe is an auto fill that was running from the well which is about 20 feet away from pond. Pump works however have never had the water running since its separate from the house and frankly not sure how they had it set up their is two yard hydrants connected to the well also. So trying to see if I can raise the water level and keep it filled without running the pump the constantly filling it ,if that's what they did and I assume it is. Thanks for looking!

Hi Tyler,

Welcome to PBF!

In my opinion, it looks like it has been a very long time since that pond was full of water. What are your goals for it in the future?

Again,

Welcome!

Bill D.

Would like to have water level restored to where it was, fountain works so will have that running and all weeds/cattails removed. Pond currently has a ton of fish in it. I own a construction company so would be up for whatever it takes however little stumped with this one never dealt with a pond before lol

What part of Indiana are you in? Maybe one of the forum pros is near enough to you to come take a look and help develop a plan.

If you plan on adding well water keep in mind that there is little or no O2 in it

That would be great, I'm on the northside of Indianapolis . Everyone I've reached out to basically only do pond maintenance.

Tyler, what little I can really see from your pictures, whatever is causing the leak should not be a major problem to correct. My guess is that your pond was well water fed, like you thought. Some cleaning up and some knowing eyes could probably figure out what is going on pretty quickly.

Your completely right ,it had to have been well fed. I agree i feel someone with some insights could fix it. What would be a game plan? Or how would you go about it?
Thanks !
