Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Fish Bedding

I know this really sounds dumb, but I am a new pond owner. I have so far stocked it with Fl. Bream and Channel Cat fish. When in the yr. do they bed? Where should I look for beds? How deep do they usually have their beds? Thanks for any and all info.

In your location BG can bed almost any month of the year. Most likely they will not be bedding in Dec and Jan . Late Feb/March, April and May should be the big months depending on water temps. Look for shallow water (3 ft) in coves or flat areas that have limited silt inflow. Pics below.
