This stuff is all over our lake and seems to be expanding its turf. I think it is Widgeon Grass. Help in identification and treatment would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is some kind of orchid that comes up in some stumps in the lake each year.

Google Images seem to verify that's widgeon grass. It looks like it would cause a lot of problems on spinner baits.

I got this stuff as well. My pond was almost completely dried up and now it is full. I had alot of different types of native grasses growing it the pond bottom which are now flooded. I have a good sized patch of this grass on the surface and I also have what I believe to be Illinios Pondweed. It was around the pond before it filled up and is now growing to the surface. Seems like a great time for me to stock my pond, but I would like to get them under control in the future. Fathead minnows are multiplying fast and I hope my carp are growing fast as they have plenty to eat.
