Road... You'll need to stow the picture in an online website and then post the URL in order to allow viewers access to it. OR, you can email the picture(s) to me if you wish.

As for controlling the mystery plant: identifying it is only the first (but very important) step. We'd need to know many details about your pond in order to make any corrective suggestions - such as its size, depth, degree of infestation, what uses the water serves (fish, irrigation, potable, etc.) and maybe other variables as well.

I sorted out the link to be able to get direct access to it. I cannot identify it positively without seeing a better closeup picture.

Like Kelly said in her post it will be very important to know more detail about your situation, location, etc...

Here are some online resources that may help.

Good Luck,

JW,
Click on the first icon to the right of Kelly's name and you'll get to see a pic of her
Looks like she could use a shave! :p

BTW Kelly is the one on the right. \:D

Ric,

When I stopped laughing \:D I had to wipe the tears from my eyes. I hope Kelly will forgive me for my ooopps.

It is always good to have a laugh.

Thanks for the heads up note.

JW - you're forgiven. It wasn't the first time, and certainly won't be the last. I grew up in Vernon (North TX) and actually knew more guys named "Kelly" than girls (and still true today). Nevertheless, I think as you did whenever I see the name. BTW Ric: I did shave shortly before that picture was taken.

Also - I've been waiting for Road to post some details. I too was able to see the picture after the second post, but close-ups are usually needed to accurately ID such growths - except for the surface strands of primrose (aka Ludwigia).

Thanks Kelly,

I know Vernon, got a speeding ticket there when I was going to Albuquerque many years ago. \:\( I knew a couple Kellys growing up as well. Are you Irish?

I am much further east in Lucas. Next to Lake Lavon. Lots of nice Hybrids, Sand Bass and Bluegill.
