Hi Folks,

New here and own a 1 acre pond a few miles N of McClouth KS in Jefferson County. Want to stock BG in the spring and wonder if anyone up in this neck of the woods could recommend a fish farm that delivers? right now trying to remove as many LMB as I can.

No forage fish I've found. Thanks, CLG

Do a search for Wallace Fish Farm on the internet. Charles Wallace is the guy. He brought me my initial stocking fish and was very satisfied with the fish he brought me. He is a stand up guy and I would have no problem buying from him again. He is in east central Kansas so is likely not too far from you to deliver.

+1

CLG, I too have used Wallace Fish Farm who delivered 300 RES to Lincoln, NE.

Great to work and they were all RES (no hitchhikers).

Just my $.02

If you call the COOP they can tell you when the fish truck is coming around. I live just outside Jarbalo, so not too far from you and I've had great luck them. I've got Red Ears and grass carp and all were excelent. My red ears are getting big!!! Andy

x2

I'm also in JF CO. Charlie came highly recommended. I told him I wasn't in a hurry, so he called me when he had another delivery in the area and only charged me half on the delivery fee. Outstanding service, answers questions patiently (before and after delivery), great quality of fish.

I bought truck fish for my first pond. This time I didn't want Coppernose or Hybrid Bluegill, but that's all the truck folks had. With all due respect to Duckman, it's worth the extra expense to call Wallace.

Good luck!

Completely agree with this. You can find many horror stories about fish trucks here.

Pond Folks,

Thank you very much. I contacted Charlie Wallace and we are set up for an early Spring Bluegill and FH minnow delivery. In the mean time, fishin' out the LMB and CC out as much as I can. The one acre pond is at least 30 years old and I don't think has been managed in the past. Charlie seemed to know the numbers to stock and was happy he was noticed on Pond Boss. They are updating their website also for easier info. etc...CLG
