Just saw on the news that there were pretty heavy storms last night around Indianapolis. Hope Sparky, Rah and any other central In friends are all good.

All good here, Bob. From the track of things last night, I hope RAH came through all right.

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

My little town caught the brunt of the microcell that passed through here...lots of downed trees, broken off telephone/power poles, roofs off of houses and businesses, etc. We were paged out by 911 8 times in a 30 minute period.
Luckily no injuries...just lots of damage. As of this morning there was still 1000+ without power.

Our pond was just completed in May.I had hoped that it would fill up by early summer. We had 4" of rain on Sunday morning and 3" of rain on Monday.I was worried about sizing of our overflow, freeboard and my spillway layout. The overflow works great and the spillway is still unused. We saw flooding last night in places that had not flooded in 25 years.I was elated this morning when I got home from work to find our new dam in good shape. The mix of wheat, rye, and fescue that our contractor planted is well established and holding well.

I have so much standing water the frogs are moving out under the Spruce trees! Still not as much rain as farther south in the central part of the state I'm being told by customers down there.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

We have been seriously dumped on in northeast Ohio....if I had enough smarts I would send pics of our solar lights around the edge of the pond that are now underwater lights!! Ps we lol at your frog pix.
Dick....Offer a sincere thank you to someone today. You just made the world a better place.....unless you teach someone to fly fish...then you really make a difference!

The storms last night missed us - we barely got the concrete damp.

Lots of my frogs are also out of the pond in the grasses and under the pine trees. A path I walk around the pond on has water on it in one place. More then one half of one of my fields was never planted because it has been too wet and soggy since spring. I predicted to my farmer that this year would be a drought year. Two years ago with 100 degree heat my pond water level got very low. Crazy weather.

In the latest PB Mag, Dan Van Schaik writes "A majority of meteorologists give El Nino an 80% chance of continuing through the end of the year.".
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Good that most were spared any significant problems. I saw on the news that so far the In farmers have lost $300 million in corn loss alone. My neighbor has 11-1300 acres and when I asked him how hard he was hit he just looked at his feet and shook his head. Cecil good ta see ya postin again and I'll come thin them frogs out for ya if they get too close to your house. They can be quite noisy.

I'm glad those of you who posted are all ok. It looked really bad on the news.
Bob-O, it'll be interesting to see what happens to food prices this summer. A large swath of the food belt has either had floods, or no rain at all. Weather wise, it's been a perplexing year for sure.

Most of the farmers around me aren't nearly as worried about the corn crop as they are the beans...the corn is marginal in most places around central IL...the beans however look terrible so far. Rot, no heat, too much water, etc. On the upside, commodities prices are going up.

My garden I have jointly with the parents loves the rain and is thriving. But then there are no low spots or a need to get a tractor in there. Don't mind the sound of the frogs at all. But we keep the house closed up tight due to allergies, and mainly the wife can't take the heat and I need to keep the humidity level in the shop low. So I don't hear them in the house. Scott says they aren't big enough for the table yet. He and our friend from Turkey caught a few when they were here. But you're welcome to some when they get bigger.
