When you say "grow out", how big are you expecting them to get?

Well, I doubt I will live long enough to see them max out, the kids might, their kids could, but they will have the facilities and acres to give it a shot, if I plant the tree soon enough. It would be nice to get into the caviar market, using cesairin egg harvest to save the fish.

Thanks

For the caviar market, I don't know which would be a better route to take (fish wise), sturgeon or paddlefish. Better meaning ease of growing and profit wise.

For White Sturgeon, I'd concentrate my searches to facilities in California, Washington and Oregon.

I'd also try calling the Monterey Bay Aquarium and see if they can direct you to any white sturgeon producers.

Good day folks... I've been search all through this forum to find details on Sturgeon.
This seems the be the nly one talking about purchasing them... at least as I've seen so far.
I have a 3 acre lake I maintain a bit like an aquarium.
I have several species of fish in the 4 foot+ range and would just love to someday trump them all with a could white sturgeon, I believe Acipenser rubicundus

Has anyone had any luck purchasing them? I am in Ohio.
I had to get licensed in Kentucky and Ohio to transport my 45 paddlefish, then drive to Kentucky to get them... hoping to just get a few Sturgeon to grow in my warehouse until their large enough to transplant them into my pond.

Any assistance on tha matter would be appreciated.
