hi, ihave be given 1 acre pond my pops,6 uncles,grand paw,and sally (family mule)dug out this spring feed pond. recently dried up from years of drought here in georgia, ready to get back producing food,

ok i put about 20 blue gill in 2 yrs ago they were handsize last month i added 200 cat fish 5 to 7 inch. started feeding looks like i got lot more brim than i planned. should i just put some bigger catfish to control brim plus start fishing someout? or your suggestion would be heard?thanks

Tot, do you not want to stock largemouth bass? This is the ideal predator for bluegill. even just putting 50 of them in your pond would do alot for controlling the smaller bream. If you dont want bass then I would start keeping some of those hand sized bream to put in the frying pan Good luck, I'm sure someone else will have input as well
