I need some help. We have a pond that is approximately 1 acre in size. It is shallow around the edges and then gets deeper. It varies from 4 to 15 feet in the deepest part. It has two fingers off the main body. The pond has a major algae, odor and sludge problem. We want to clean the pond up but we can not find anyone in our area that can help us. We enjoy fishing in this pond and the dogs love playing in it. The pond is approximately 25 feet outside our door. We want to stay away from harmful chemicals. Does anyone know of someone in this area that can come out and help us find the correct solutions to our problems?

i'm sure a good bottom aeration system would be great. some bacteria and enzymes would help give it a nice start. check the posts in aeration for start up and running times. i'm sure someone with alot of knowledge will jump in.
i only wanted to have some fun

Thank you. We are planning on putting in a bottom diffuser but not sure of the location and how many. We are also wanting to add aerobic bacteria. I also read where putting in the wrong system can hurt more than it can help.
