I was just given approximately 150 pieces of pine 18 inches long and 2"x2" by a friend. Can I nail them to a pallet every six inches or so and make crappie structure or would they have to be longer? I am guessing they would stick up from the pallet 14" high. Is there a better way to make some type of structure for Bass, Crappie, or Fat Head Minnows with this wood?
Thanks

You could drill holes in each end, then stack them up on 4 sections of re-bar to make a slotted box type tower.

You can turn the pallet up on its side and use them to stick up even further.
FH like them in shallow water to spawn in so flat is better. You could use them as legs to hold the pallet off the bottom in shallow water.
