Recently purchased Stren's fish feeder hanging 25 and am having trouble with food bridging above the discharge hole. Currently using a floating pellet purchased at my local merchantile store. Would a change to a more commercial food such as a Purina help the problem?

Bridging feed in any feeder-hog, cattle, fish may indicate too much moisture and/or moldy feed. You sure yours is ok?

Thank you for your reply. Feed is fresh, and is stored in galvanized trash can, inside boathouse. I have not used a plastic liner with a twist tie and perhaps I should. What do you think?

kingfish I have more trouble with the 25 than other larger models. Did you check the battery charge? If not fully charged it may not throw as well. Some client with the 25D have two batteries and switch them out when they fill it to nknow it is charged all the time. If you continue to have difficulty call BA direct and they will make it right.

Thanks Greg... Batteries are hot. Over the weekend purchased Purinas Gamefish Food and you wouldn't believe the difference. Compared to the old food that bridged, the Purina is much drier (much less oil) and less fines. As of now the feeder is working like a charm. Will keep all posted.
