I recently purchased a piece of property with a 3/4 acre pond. The deepest part of the pond is about 18' feet. I believe that it is spring fed. About 5' down the water is icy cold. It's well stocked with LMB and bluegill. The largest bass I've caught was 18" and all of the bluegill have been 5" - 6".

Recently I've had two types of algae. One type consists of dark green or sometimes bluish baseball sized blobs. If you pick them up they immediately disintegrate. (pictures 3 and 4)

The other type is a pale green color blob that also disintegrates when picked up. It ranges from the size of a pea to a quarter. (pictures 1 and 5)

My lily pads also seem to be disintegrating. None of them have fully bloomed this year. They have flowers, but they look sickly and haven't opened up.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not much to say on this. Just bumping it up for notice.

Possibly nobody can say much due to the photos are hard to discern and blury.. Taking photos of this is tough. Perhaps try again?

I'm not sure what his questions are.. Pond looks good overall most all ponds will have some algae here and there.. The Lillie's maybe weren't hardy enough for his area, hard to say?

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..
