After stocking our 3/4 acre tank about 18 months ago, caught my first fish... been fishing it for about 6 months with no action till now. ...Unfortunately it was a huge shiner, of which we caught 4 more. All large. Should this concern me? I started the pond off with shiners, fatheads, blue gills, redears and catfish. Added LMB fingerlings about 3 months ago. I figured by now I'd have bites from brim or catfish. Concerned that the shiners are growing so large.. maybe I've lost the higher food chain fish? Any thoughts?

Don't worry, be happy. You're building your forage base!

I had the same problem, I tell myself they don't want to mess with me and my bait when they could be eating all those baitfish I have provided to them.
I was able to catch some bass, and still do in my cast net. Never any bass bigger than about 1 lb. though. Just helped to ease my mind that they didn't go out with the spillway water, and that they were in fact alive.
Like esshup said, don't worry be happy, and you fish are there!
Get out and fish.

It just freaks me out a little that I haven't caught any catfish yet. I'm gonna calm down and keep the faith.. thanks for helping to reassure me
